Good for what it is made for

Perfect vocabulary builder. Simple and easy to use.

This is a great app for advanced beginner and intermediate Spanish speakers to pick up a ton of new words. It offers both Castilian and Latin American pronunciation options, and all words are matched with pictures, distinguishing it from flashcard or game apps. First 400 words are free to let you try the interface; remaining 3000 are unlocked with an in-app purchase of $3.99 (well worth it for me). Its a hodgepodge of very interesting words from different categories, so you never get bored. The app builds your fluency by building up from matching the picture to typing the first letter, and finally typing the whole word or phrase. And it keeps track of words that are new to you, somewhat familiar, or mastered. Great app!

Excellent study tool great vocabulary builder.

I like this app so far. The spoken words are a little soft and sometimes hard to get at first, but thats the way real speakers often are, too. The English is British, not American, which is sometimes a little confusing. And it runs a little slow on my ipad. I like the pictures and the voices.

Its easy to set aside 10 minutes a day to learn new vocabulary. Words that I got wrong are repeated. Great app!

This is the best Spanish vocabulary app that Ive found that is suitable for both beginner and intermediate levels. The only suggestion I have to improve the app is to include "la/las" or "el/los" with nouns in ALL the exercises -- otherwise its hard to remember the genders of some words.

Wish there was more that say the Spanish word and you match the English other than that - no complaints. Great app!

If youre looking for an app to learn a lot of vocabulary, this is the one for you! No grammar, no conjugations, but plenty of words. They also do a good job repeating words that you are getting wrong. One suggestion, though: make the letters in the spelling sections a bit bigger to make it easier for us old-timers.
